APBMA Membership Policy

Introduction

The Association of Professional Business and Management Analysts (APBMA) is dedicated to fostering a community of professionals committed to the highest standards of business and management analysis. This membership policy outlines the terms and conditions of membership, benefits, and responsibilities of members.

Membership Categories

APBMA offers several categories of membership to accommodate the diverse needs of our community:

1. Student Member
   • ✔ For students ONLY
   • ✔ New graduates or final-year students studying business-related degrees or qualifications at recognized universities or institutions.
   • ✔ Membership is Free
2. Affiliate Member
   • ✔ Individuals new to the profession and/or interested in business and a management analyst’s work and/or practice.
3. Associate Member
   • ✔ Individuals with over 5 years’ experience in the field and a degree level [or its equivalent] qualification.
4. Fellows
   • ✔ Individuals with over 12 years experience in the field, with minimum of 8 years at a strategic level
   • ✔ Individuals with proven professionalism and contributions to the field.
5. Corporate Members
   • ✔ This is for organizations that will encourage their employees to benefit from APBMA in terms of training
   • ✔ Research and require expertise in management and business analysis.
6. Companions
   • ✔ This is for academics (Those with Doctorates & Professors) and highly experienced management consultants with over 25 years of experience in organizations with 50 staff members and above.
   • ✔ By invitation only

Membership Categories

Individuals and organizations must complete the online application form and provide any required documentation to apply for membership. The Membership Committee reviews applications, and applicants are notified of their acceptance within 10 business days.

Code of Conduct

All members must adhere to the APBMA Code of Conduct, emphasizing professionalism, integrity, and respect. Members must:

• Maintain high professional standards
• Respect confidentiality
• Avoid conflicts of interest
• Engage in ongoing professional development

Violations of the Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or termination of membership.

Membership Renewal and Termination

Membership is valid for one year from the date of acceptance. Members will receive renewal notices 60 days before their membership expiration date. Membership can be renewed online through the APBMA website.

Members may terminate their membership at any time by providing written notice to the Membership Committee. Termination does not entitle members to a refund of any portion of their dues.

Privacy Policy

APBMA is committed to protecting the privacy of its members. Personal information collected during the membership application and renewal process is used solely for administrative purposes and is not shared with third parties without consent. Professional Development Programs
